100 Plates Artist-in-Residence
One artist is selected by the Advisory Board for a 12-week residency beginning March 1st and running through June 1st. The 100 Plates Artist is commissioned to produce 100 plates provided by materials sourced in Denmark and provided by Guldagergaard. A quarter of the plates will be used to enhance our kitchen collection and the remaining portion will be donated to support a summer fundraising event, held at Guldagergaard-ICRC.
Duration: 12 weeks – March1st – June 1st, 2013
100 Cups Artist-in-Residence
One artist is selected by the Advisory Board for an 8-week residency beginning April 1st and ending June 1st. The 100 Cups Artist is commissioned to produce 100 cups provided by materials sourced in Denmark and provided by Guldagergaard. A quarter of the cups will be used to enhance our kitchen collection, and the remaining portion will be donated to support a summer fundraising event, held at Guldagergaard-ICRC
Duration: 8 weeks – April 1st – June 1st, 2013
Compensation and benefits: The artist is provided a private room during their residency, a large studio, and a working budget for materials and firings. Other benefits available to all artists as Guldagergaard residents, include opportunities to sell work at events and in our on-site Apple House Gallery shop, invitations to exhibit in group shows, and networking with international artists.
The “100 Plates” and “100 Cups” Artists works will be featured in print and on-line publications of Guldagergaard, in addition to local and regional advertisements and press.
