In the Studio: Platter Bowl Combo

I have a piece due for a platter invitational next spring so I thought I would get a jump start on the assignment and create a new form. This platter/elevated bowl combo pushes the normally flat form into a more dimensional piece. There is so much activity going on in the rim that I decided to keep the color monochromatic. The elevated bowl is already glazed so you can see the finished color will remain pretty close to the unfired platter's color.
