In the Studio: Stripes, Swipes and Zig Zags









This week's studio goal has been to stretch my design boundaries with stripes and zig zags. They are both iconic pattern motifs that I have some how over looked. They are great for dividing space, as well as accentuating volume in the form. Here is a small collection of my favorite designs made from finger swipes, underglaze and sgraffito.

      Thanks Victoria. I've been working extra hard on accentuating the forms this time with the pattern. Sometimes I like to shrink the form with the pattern and other times I like to enlarge it. Hope you are having a good weekend.
