In the Studio: Stripes, Swipes and Zig Zags

This week's studio goal has been to stretch my design boundaries with stripes and zig zags. They are both iconic pattern motifs that I have some how over looked. They are great for dividing space, as well as accentuating volume in the form. Here is a small collection of my favorite designs made from finger swipes, underglaze and sgraffito.

    1. Thanks Victoria. I've been working extra hard on accentuating the forms this time with the pattern. Sometimes I like to shrink the form with the pattern and other times I like to enlarge it. Hope you are having a good weekend.
