British Council's 1941 film "Colour in Clay"

Colour in Clay (1941) from British Council Film on Vimeo.

This video encapsulates the industrial spirit of English ceramics and the prevailing attitude toward female workers. I'm glad to say that women's rights have come a long way since this film crew toured the Wedgwood factory in 1941. I feel bad laughing but my favorite line was "Isn’t it nice to see a girl putting handles on cups instead of knocking them off?”.
